BREAKING: Comedian Jon Stewart incinerates the deranged behavior of the Trump administration in the wake of reports that the illegal Iran bombing may have failed: “It shouldn’t be that hard to not be so defensive and angry all the time!”
He said exactly what all of us were thinking…
“Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt comes out, and they ask her, ‘was it obliterated?’ And she says, ‘Everybody knows what happens when you have a precision strike with these kinds of weapons,’” Stewart said on his “The Weekly Show” podcast.
“These weapons have never been used before in the history of the planet! But everybody knows what happened,” he continued.
Trump has been raging nonstop at the press for covering a leaked Pentagon memo that suggested that the strikes were not entirely successful and that they may have only set Iran’s nuclear program back by a few months.
This so-called president is terrified that his premature claims of complete “obliteration” are going to backfire in humiliating fashion. If we had a coolheaded commander-in-chief who waited for a full military analysis rather than an egomaniac focused on scoring a cheap political win, this wouldn’t be an issue.
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth also lost his cool and personally attacked a Fox News reporter for daring to ask if refined uranium may have survived the bombing. Pressure is building inside the White House and the truth will soon be known.
“It’s just beyond the silliness,” said Stewart. “And if anybody pushes back, they demand 100 percent fealty and anything beyond that sets off anger and frustration because of the fragility.”
It’s time for Congress to be given a full classified briefing on these strikes. The American people deserve to know the truth.
