Even right-wingers smell something fishy now…

“Good grief! That was no bueno, guys! That was no bueno, OK? President Trump had the same problem there that Karoline Leavitt had yesterday. The dodge should not be obvious,” Kelly said on her podcast. “It should be subtle. It should be deftly worked into a more substantive answer.”

Over the weekend, a Justice Department memo was leaked which claimed that the Epstein client list does not exist, that there is no evidence that the billionaire pedophile blackmailed powerful people, and that there is no reason to believe that he was murdered. Remarkably, Trump’s Attorney General Pam Bondi had previously claimed that the Epstein client list was waiting on her desk to be reviewed.

Kelly predicted that Bondi’s “days are numbered as a member of the Trump administration.”

“Pam Bondi knew she was about to embarrass some of his most loyal surrogates out there, and did that willingly, or she didn’t take the time to make sure what was in those binders,” Kelly said, referring to a PR stunt that the White House orchestrated months ago in which MAGA influencers were photographed with binders that supposedly contained Epstein bombshells.

“It was all publicly released information that had already been out there…She was too lazy to actually figure out none of this is new, and yet she called a meeting with the influencers that included Kash Patel, the head of the FBI, and the sitting vice president,” added Kelly.

Kelly is echoing a narrative that many Trump supporters are now embracing in which Bondi becomes the scapegoat for this entire Epstein fiasco. These dead-enders are incapable or unwilling to accept that Trump — a man who called Epstein a “terrific guy” and who Elon Musk has accused of being in the Epstein files — could have any role in this apparent coverup. They’d rather pretend that Bondi is acting of her own volition, rather than doing exactly what Trump directed her to do.

When he was asked at a Cabinet meeting yesterday about the DOJ memo and the theories that Epstein was tied to an intelligence agency, Trump lashed out in incredibly suspicious fashion.

“Are you still talking about Jeffrey Epstein? This guy’s been talked about for years,” said Trump. “You’re asking— We have Texas. We have this. We have all of the things— And are people still talking about this guy? This creep?”

“That is unbelievable. Do you want to waste the time on— Do you feel like answering?” Trump asked Bondi.

“I don’t mind answering,” said Bondi.

“I mean I can’t believe you’re asking a question on Epstein at a time like this where we’re having some of the greatest success and also tragedy with what happened in Texas,” said Trump, who cut funding for the National Weather Service. “It just seems, uh, like a desecration but you go ahead.”

We can’t say for certain that Donald Trump is implicated in the Epstein files, but we can say that this is exactly how he’d be acting if he were.
