Ava Dash, daughter of Damon Dash and star of Next Gen NYC, has been evicted from her $10,000-a-month Manhattan apartment after failing to pay rent for several months. This comes as her father admits he’s struggling financially.

According to Reality Blurb, the eviction notice was tied to Ava’s Tribeca apartment, which she shared with three others. Court documents indicate that they hadn’t paid rent for four months, with each month costing $9,995. They also owed nearly $3,900 for part of a fifth month. The landlord filed to have them removed from the unit.

The notice was issued in October 2024. It gave them 14 days to vacate or face removal without further warning. The filing stated the tenants stayed in the apartment without permission after failing to pay rent.

Next Gen NYC follows Ava and other children of celebrities, including Gia Giudice and Riley Burruss, as they build their lives in New York. A teaser clip from the show shows an eviction notice, though the names were blurred. It’s now believed that it was Ava’s unit.

Ava’s father, Damon Dash, co-founder of Roc-A-Fella Records, recently opened up about his financial struggles. He told Vibe he’s rebuilding his business from scratch and described himself as “proud broke.”

To settle his debts, Damon sold his one-third share of Roc-A-Fella in November 2024 for $1 million. That sale helped pay off a state lawsuit and part of the $193,000 he reportedly owes in child support, likely connected to Ava’s mother, designer Rachel Roy.
