The announcement, made via a post on X (formerly Twitter), quickly set the internet ablaze. Musk confirmed that the new Roadster will come equipped with a SpaceX option package, integrating cold gas thrusters—technology typically used in orbital spacecraft.

“We’re taking performance to a whole new level,” Musk wrote. “The new Tesla Roadster will do 0 to 60 mph in under 1.9 seconds—and with the SpaceX package, it might even hover.”

How Will It Work?

The SpaceX upgrade package reportedly includes 10 small rocket thrusters arranged seamlessly around the car, powered by compressed air at ultra-high pressure. These thrusters would enhance acceleration, braking, and handling.
