White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt’s son recently celebrated his first birthday, with his mom and dad throwing him a truck-themed party to mark the special occasion

Karoline Leavitt hosted a lavish party for her son as he celebrated his first birthday – and they had matching family outfits to complete the festivities.

The White House Press Secretary, 27, shared some pictures from the big day on her Instagram Stories. In one snap, Karoline and her 59-year-old husband Nicholas Riccio wore matching “Dada” and “Mama” T-shirts as they stood behind their son, Nicholas “Niko” Robert Riccio, in their garden.

Karoline had organized a theme for the party – trucks. She’d even hired a real-life digger for the big bash. Captioning the picture, she wrote, “1st birthday party success for my little truck lover boy!”

Karoline shared a video of Niko enjoying a birthday treat, with another clip showing all of the friends and family who had gathered to celebrate. Niko’s birthday cake featured two diggers on, while the party was decorated with bunting of his face.

Guests also had special yellow cups to drink out of, with Niko’s name printed on them. In one sweet snap, the youngster was seen with birthday cake on his face as Karoline said her son is “living his best life.”

She also thanked all of those who made Niko’s birthday extra special. “Blessed with the best friends and family in the world,” Karoline wrote on top of a video from the party.

Karoline’s latest posts come after she took to social media to wish her son a happy birthday. Taking to Instagram, Karoline gushed, “Today my sweet, happy, sensitive, funny, and handsome baby turned one. What a year it has been.”

She added, “There are no words to describe how much I love this little boy. I thank God every day for making me his mommy. Happy 1st Birthday, my beautiful son. Mama and Dada love you so much.”

In the post, Karoline shared plenty of family snaps from the past year, with fans able to watch Niko grow. Karoline’s followers were loving the post and took to the comments to share their praise.

“Omg no I’m crying this is so precious!!!! Love you and Niko,” one person wrote. Another commented, “Wow so beautiful, made me cry so lovely,” while a third person added, “Love this! Great job mom and dad and happy birthday Niko!”
