While Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce did receive an invite to the 2025 Met Gala, the star couple decided not to attend on Monday night.
While all the celebrities were arriving on the red carpet, TMZ reports that the two did not attend “as a result of their schedules.”
Kelce and Swift have stayed out of the spotlight since the end of the 2024 NFL season. TMZ added that the last time the two were spotted out together was in New York on March 14.
Back in April, another outlet provided some additional context on why they were staying out of the public eye.
“They have been traveling nonstop and very much enjoy it,” a source told PEOPLE. “They are making the most of their time off together. They are hanging out with friends, too. It’s a special time for them.”
The insider added that the couple are “very serious and in sync.”
However, Kelce has continued to do his weekly New Heights podcast with Jason Kelce. But other than that, he’s keeping a low profile.
Considering Kelce’s iconic gameday outfits and Taylor Swift’s incredible looks, it would been a true treat to see them together on the red carpet at fashion’s biggest night. But, it won’t be happening this year.
