FaZe Banks took to X (formerly Twitter) to share his feelings after Charlie Kirk’s death at 31. Kirk was shot on September 10 at a university in Utah. Remembering him, Banks wrote:
“This doesn’t feel real. None of this feels real. We’re losing our humanity. Horrified to see people farm this/ cheer for this. You have no idea what kind of culture you’re helping perpetuate. Circus elephants, all of you, dancing for peanuts. Rest in Peace Charlie Kirk 🤍”
The news of Kirk being shot was first shared by Donald Trump on Truth Social, where he asked everyone to pray for him. Following the news, FaZe Banks wrote on his Instagram story:
“I can’t believe what my eyes just witnessed. I’m absolutely horrified. If this man survives this it’ll be an actual miracle from God.”
FaZe Banks further added:
“It doesn’t feel real. This country is in really bad shape. Enough is enough. What the fuck are we all doing? 🙏❤️🩹”
Donald Trump confirmed Kirk’s death a few hours after announcing he had been shot. Trump also ordered all U.S. flags to be flown at half-mast until Sunday evening in honor of Kirk.

We don’t yet know what motivated the person who shot and killed Charlie Kirk, but this kind of despicable violence has no place in our democracy. Michelle and I will be praying for Charlie’s family tonight, especially his wife Erika and their two young children.
