The 2025 WNBA season hasn’t gotten off to the kind of start the Dallas Wings or the Los Angeles Sparks envisioned, but one of the struggling franchises will get back on the winning track Friday night in a Commissioner’s Cup matchup.
The Wings will have to wait at least one more game to get their new franchise centerpiece back in the lineup, as Paige Bueckers will miss a third consecutive game while in the concussion protocol. Dallas (1-7) has lost both games she has missed and three in a row overall.
The Sparks (2-6) aren’t doing much better than the Wings this season. They are just one game ahead of Dallas in the WNBA standings. Veteran Kelsey Plum averages 22.9 points per game this season.
