Fans of The View are raging on social media after co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin admitted to supporting Donald Trump’s plan to offer a $5k ‘baby bonus’ to women who bear children.
The shocking confession came as the panel was discussing the offer, which Whoopi labeled as ‘out of touch,’ saying that the current administration “clearly doesn’t know how women’s bodies work and don’t know what it costs to raise a child, or just have a child.”
Alyssa chimed in, saying, “I actually generally support this policy, and that may surprise you guys,” explaining that other countries such as Italy and France have similar policies, as she read from a piece of paper.
Sunny Hostin disagreed, while Whoopi, clearly passionate about the Hot Topic, clapped back: “I paid in my money, I want my money back from Social Security…”
