“It sounds like a no-brainer, but lots of men stop thinking clearly once they enter a brothel. Common sense just disappears,” she said.

“But to be fair, I always say that there are also clients who are extremely good at covering their tracks. They’ll come during their lunch break from work, leave their phone at the office just in case — especially if they have shared location on or tracking history on, which would look suspicious if he would suddenly turned it off — and then just say they had an important client meeting.

“They always bring cash, never withdraw money nearby, keep no receipts or entry tickets and they take a shower after the session so there’s no scent or trace.”

Ms DeNoire said there have been confrontations that have gone down inside the brothel, with the situation typically unfolding where the partner comes in, claiming she knows her husband is inside. Then, the couple will go outside and have their argument.

But, one woman demanded to see the CCTV after she found a ticket from the brothel inside her fiance’s pocket.

“Their wedding was just a week away, and she wanted to know if he had really been here. She asked me to show her all the security footage from the day in question, to confirm whether he had visited or not,” Ms Denoire revealed.

“That’s simply something I can’t do. I can’t just let random people into the office and show them our CCTV footage.

“I explained that to them, but the fiancee took it as me covering for him and she said there would be no wedding.

“I tried to suggest that they talk it through, that maybe he really wasn’t here but it didn’t help. I don’t think the wedding ever happened.”

She said typically women were angry, sad and felt betrayed after discovering their partner had been to the establishment if they have a monogamous relationship.

“He’s shocked and immediately starts apologising, claiming he didn’t do anything, that his friends dragged him there, that he was just waiting at the bar, or that he only came for a drink and this was the only place still open,” she said.

“But once, I saw a guy pull a really bold move. His partner found out, waited for him to confront him, and when she did, he flipped the whole situation and got mad at her for stalking him and following him around like some jealous psycho. That was really something else.”

She said there are many reasons why men visit a brothel despite being in a happy, monogamous relationship.

“Some men are in happy marriages — they love their wives but the sex is gone. They don’t want to pressure their partner into doing something she doesn’t want to do, but they also don’t want to get involved in an affair as they see that as something more emotionally risky than visiting a professional,” she said.

She said some want to explore fantasies they don’t feel comfortable exploring with their partner, such as BDSM, because they are ashamed to bring it up at home. She said some men use the brothel as therapy, just wanting to vent about their problems.

“And then there are men for whom this is simply part of their lifestyle. Even if everything is ‘okay’ at home, they still want to feel like champions — like they’re wanted and desired,” she said.
